About Me

Carlos Felicio

Welcome to my personal blog fellow netizen! My name is Carlos Felicio, and I created this blog to share my thoughts and experiences on technology topics. As I get older, it also serves as a repository for me to consult on previous solutions, so I hopefully don’t get to spend hours figuring things out again on the same subjects! 🙂

When I’m not in front of my computer, you’ll usually find me:

  • Extracting an espresso (my latte art is still unfortunately a work in progress)
  • Fiddling around with my 3D printer
  • Exploring some nearby trail, rain or shine
  • Biking around the beautiful Vancouver and its surroundings
  • Dismantling or assembling some PC hardware for upgrades, cleanup or just plain experimentation

Technology has always been a passion of mine! I still remember, as a child, after playing with a new toy, the next step was always to figure out how it worked, which usually ended with me taking it apart, and savaging some components. By the age of 10, I recall I had a respectable collection of these guys:

And these guys:

It was a lot of fun over the years to build some contraptions with these savaged components, the most memorable being a self propelled, wired foam boat. I also ended up getting some really good soldering skills along the way, but now I suspect I’ll need to invest on a loupe soon, as my vision is not as sharp as it used to be…

Anyways, I hope you find my writing informative, and always happy to hear back on your thoughts, so we can all learn and improve our knowledge together!
